GrantsĀ for small businesses are provided to help businesses grow. Grants are available for everything from the startup phase and company expansion to research and development. Here are 10 business grants you can apply for in 2022.

1 Cartier Women’s Initiative

The Cartier Women’s Initiative is an international program celebrating entrepreneurship and empowerment of women. The program offers seven regional awards and the recently added Science & Technology Pioneer Award. Cartier’s grants offer up to $100,000.

2 Coca-Cola Foundation

Since 1984, Coca-Cola’s given over $1 billion in grants. These funds are uniquely targeted for sustainable community initiatives. Coca-Cola offers hundreds of grants and donations across the globe. The company commits 1% of its annual income to the Foundation. The number of grants varies.

3 Verizon Small Business Recovery Fund

Verizon has set aside $7.5 million in grants to support small businesses in underserved communities. To date, almost 800 businesses have received up to $10,000 to pay rent, meet payroll and fulfill other operational needs.

4 FedEx Small Business Grant Contest

FedEx has a grant competition every year. A dozen small businesses receive grants and print services. Applicants should be U.S. for-profit organizations in operation for at least six months with under 100 employees. Honorees receive $50,000 and $7,500 worth of FedEx services.

5 National Association for the Self-Employed

The program offers monthly $4,000 business grants to NASE members. You’ll have to demonstrate a business need and provide detailed planning for grant usage. There’s also the annual $3,000 college scholarship available for member dependents.

6 Small Business Administration

The SBA offers a broad range ofĀ small business grants based on stringent administrative and legal requirements. They have specific community organization offerings and grants engineered for funding for organizations involved in increasing innovation and R&D. The number of grants varies based on the program.

7 The Amber Grant

WomensNet gives a $10,000 grant the first week of every month to a female-operated enterprise. At the end of each year, they offer a grant of $25,000. The program began in memory of Amber Wigdahl, a teenager who died before realizing her own business dreams.

8 Tory Burch Foundation Fellows Program

9 The Street Shares Foundation

10 First Nations Development Institute Grants

 

First Nations supports Native American projects and organizations. They’ve awarded over $40 million in funding over three decades. Resources include technical opportunities and financial to Native tribes and nonprofits to support asset-based development projects.
