Who are the most famous pharmacists in Egypt? Why are they the best and most famous? It is commonly known that the pharmacist is the one who prepares medicines and sells them for us as patients. S/he can be found at public pharmacies “shops for selling medicines” or at hospitals. But do you know that there are other places in which we can find pharmacists? Prof. Dr. Amal Ahmed Abd El-Fattah is the Vice Dean for Graduates and Research Affairs at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University. She is also a Professor of Biochemistry at the University of Cairo.

9. Prof. Dr. Khaled Abouzid

Prof. Dr. Khaled Abouzid is the Vice Dean for the Educational and Students Affairs at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Ain Shams University.

8. Prof. Dr. Manal Mohamed

Prof. Dr. Manal Mohamed Maher is the Vice Dean for Educational and Students Affairs at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University. She is also a Professor of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Cairo.

He held several academic and administrative positions in Egypt and outside it such as being chosen as a consultant to the World Health Organization (WHO) in Iraq (2000-2004) and more positions.

5. Prof. Dr. Nahed Mahmoud

Prof. Dr. Nahed Mahmoud Abdel Aziz El-Enany is the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mansoura University and is a Professor of Analytical Chemistry. She was the Head of the Analytical Chemistry Department in 2011 at Mansoura University and she also held other positions not just in Egypt, but also in other countries such as Saudi Arabia.

4. Prof. Dr. Aiman Saad

Prof. Dr. Aiman Saad Nasr El-Din El-Khatib is the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University and is a Professor of Pharmacology & Toxicology. He has held several positions at the Faculty of Pharmacy starting from 1980 as a Demonstrator of Pharmacology and Toxicology at Cairo University and he also held other important positions at different universities outside the country.

3. Dr. Ahmed El Ezaby

He succeeded in establishing one of the best, most successful and outstanding pharmacy groups in Egypt. El Ezaby Pharmacy Group was founded in 1975 and started as just one branch. The number of branches increased over time to reach 86 branches that cover different governorates in Egypt including Cairo, Alexandria and other smaller governorates. He is really one of the best pharmacists in Egypt. He is the Chief of the Pharmacists’ Syndicate in Dakahlia and the main reason behind making Dr. Samir Mursi one of the best pharmacists in the country is that he does his best to help the pharmacists to get their rights. He is ready to do anything for achieving this to the extent that he participates in the protest marches that are organized by the pharmacists to ask for getting their rights.

1. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Adel Sakr

In fact, he is one of the most famous pharmaceutical scientists not just in Egypt as you may think, but in the whole world. He is a Professor of Industrial Pharmacy and Pharmaceutics. He held several important positions and received many awards in Egypt and other countries around the world such as AAPS Research Achievement Award for Manufacturing Science and Engineering in 2011 and what is more important than this award is the AAPS Outstanding Educator Award that he received in 2008 to be the first non-American professor and the 4th pharmaceutical scientist to receive this award in the history of the American Pharmacy.

Sara Nagi

Sara Nagi is an Egyptian writer and activist. After earning a degree in English literature from Cairo University, she began working as a journalist and publishing articles on social issues.Nagi rose to prominence with her debut short story collection "Hawaween" in 2008, which explored feminist themes and was groundbreaking for Arabic literature at the time. She has since published several other acclaimed short story collections and novels that have been translated into multiple languages.In addition to her literary work, Nagi co-founded Basma, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting women survivors of violence and single mothers. She has been vocal on women's rights issues in Egypt through columns, public speaking engagements and advocacy campaigns.Her contributions to both Arabic fiction and social activism have earned Nagi several international awards, including the Naguib Mahfouz Medal for Literature from the American University in Cairo. Forbes Middle East recognized her as one of the 100 most powerful Arab women in 2018.Nagi continues to push boundaries with her writing while raising awareness about gender equality through her work with Basma and other organizations.
