Every country has an army to defend it from any danger, that threatens its powers. The army is a strong source of power, and without it, the country will be an easy catch. One can look at a nation’s defense budget or the size of their enlisted members, or combine the two.  Also, one can look at the nation’s air force or ships. Here, in this list, you are going to see the most powerful and largest armies in the world.

10 Pakistan

This army is founded in 1947 and it is large, well trained, reasonably well equipped and has good morale. In this army, there is no religious extremism among senior officers. The three branches of service in the army equal more than 600,000 volunteers. The budget of Pakistan is over $5 billion, and it exceeds the overall defense budget of a number of other countries around the world. You must know that the Pakistan army corps are:  Mangla, Multan, Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, and Bahawalpur.

9 United Kingdom

The Britain forces consisted of three branches. These branches are:   the navy, the army and the air force. This army is one of the premier military forces in the world. The British Military has proven to be a force worth reckoning; because of the technological advances in weaponry. This army was formed, when the forces of England and Scotland merged together with the unification of the United Kingdom in 1707.

This country spends half of its budget for the defense force. 7 Turkey

This army was founded from 2,000 years. This army has more than half a million of soldiers, so it is one of the largest armies in size.  The Ministry of Defense of Turkey has five divisions: Air Force, Navy, The Army, Gendarmerie, and the Coast Guard. Thanks to the Turkish defense industry , the Turkish army has the power to develop and build its own aircraft, armored vehicles, tanks, and various electronics and missile weapons.

This army is known for the well trained soldiers. The modern German military was set up in 1955. German military presence has been deployed in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kosovo, Bosnia Herzegovina, and Lebanon and it plays an important role in peace-keeping efforts in training Iraqi forces to speed up the stabilization process.

The French armed forces consisted of the French Army, the French Navy, the French Air Force and the National. The French armed forces employ 254,000 troops. Also,  the French Armed Forces have the third highest expenditure of any military in the world, as well as the third largest nuclear arsenal in the world and  it has the smallest number of aircraft and helicopters than any other country.

India is known for its advanced Air Force and very-well trained Special Forces. India has four branches of military. The military has more than $ 1.3 million members, and has $ 4.7 million total members and it has the smallest naval craft fleet.

The Russian army is more modern, mobile, technologically advanced and capable twenty-first century force and it has the largest number of nuclear warheads. So, Russia spends more than $ 64 billion for the military; in order to increase the Russian strength. But, it reaches the smallest budget among the United States and China.

This army was founded in 1927 and it is one of the largest active forces in the world. China is known for defense industry that boasts multiple lines of anti-ship, air-to-air and surface-to-air missiles. China has more than 4.5 million military members and it costs $ 129 billion for the army. Also, it has 240 nuclear warheads.

1 United States

This army was founded for the first time in 1775. The US military is made up of the five armed service branches: Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, and Navy. The army guards U.S. installations and properties throughout the world. Also, you must know that The Secretary of the Department of Defense (DOD) has control over the military and each branch.
